May 13th The Shipping Forecast FitzRoy, Sole and Dogger, where are these places, why do they have these names? We will try to draw our own weather map from a typical forecast. 2.30pm.
June 10th Will O' Wisp to Tornadoes Where you might see one and what they are. A basic look at types of vortex and how they are believed to be formed. 2:30pm
July 8th NNHS Weather Records The society holds weather records going back over the last 120 years. We will look at what information they contain and consider the future of this archive and how to make it more widely available. 2.30pm-4.30pm.    
August 12th “Future Trends” A discussion meeting to consider what future weather trends may have in store for us, taking into account the natural variability in the weather and man’s effect on the atmosphere. 2.30pm to 4.30pm.                                                 
September 9th Cloud Types and how to Identify them Mike Longman will describe the many different types of cloud, what created them and how they can be used to predict the weather. We will also discuss the weather of the last month.  2.30pm start.
October 14th Optical Phenomena Mike Longman will describe the optical phenomenons that can be seen in the atmosphere. We will also discuss the weather of the last month. 2.30pm start.
