maritime meteorology
Today we will be joining the Royal Meteorological Society on-line for a meeting from Trinity House. Weather information for the marine environment is used for a very diverse range of activities. A variety of presentations, from providers and users of weather information. The topics addressed will include weather forecasting, calculation of met ocean design criteria and the requirements of legal and insurance professionals.

rainbows and weather machines at tate britain
An outing to Tate Britain to a Saturday meeting organised by the Royal Meteorological Society and Tate Britain. The meeting takes Constable's rainbow as the starting point and then examines the role of the rainbow in art and poetry as well as looking at the latest rainbow science. Meet at the railway station at a time to be agreed. Although there is no entrance fee for this meeting advanced registration is required. More details on the notice board in the Humfrey Rooms or contact Mike Longman.
