9th Cornwall Cup. Natural History competition.  Four projected images, slide and/or digital.        Round 2

 16th Digital AV’s by Jack and Margaret Lee of Rushden Audio Visual Enthusiasts Group. A selection of digital AV’s created by Jack and Margaret, followed by a demonstration of how to create your own digital AV’s from your own images and audio.

 23rd Print Competitions. Black and White. General and portraits. Jubilee Cup, colour prints, and tinted monochrome prints.   Round 2

 30th Instant Digital Image Battle with Northampton Camera Club. A fun competition, featuring interesting and varied images, with a witty commentary by the judge Brian Pere. Digital entries only this year.

 

February

6th Underwood Cup. Pictorial competition. Four projected images, slide and/or digital.  Round 3

 13th From Silver to Silicon.  Illustrated lecture by John Credlands. John looks at the way the change in recording medium has affected the ordinary photographic enthusiast in the journey from the Calotype to Digital. Presented in John’s renowned light hearted and informative manner.

 20th Digital Set Subject, “Hazards. A competition of four digital image files for projection. Followed by a practical demonstration on how selected images may be improved in Photoshop.

 27th Section AGM.   Prompt   8.00pm   start.

 

March

5th Wildlife in Northamptonshire and Taking Nature by Derek Larkin E.F.I.A.P. A show of images of the flora and fauna found in the county of Northamptonshire, followed by tips of how to get the best images of natural subjects.  

12th Cornwall Cup. Natural History competition. Four projected images, slide and/or digital.  Round 3

19th Print Competitions. Black and White. General and portraits.  Jubilee Cup, colour prints, and tinted monochrome prints.  Round 3

26th   Northampton in the 1930’s followed by The Making of the Mounts Baths. Northampton in the 1930’s, was originally filmed by the NNHS photographic section, and provides an interesting snapshot into life in the town.

 

April

2nd   Set Subject, “Dereliction”. Four images, projected slide/digital, and/or prints.   Trophy round.

9th Themes, Schemes and Dreams by Brian Gaylor FRPS. Enjoy Brian’s superb images of his home town of Swansea, and great sense of humour in his commentary in this MCPF recorded lecture. 

16th Underwood Cup Pictorial competition. Projected images, slide and digital.  Final

23rd  Portrait Lighting. A practical, informal evening led by Vic Seaton. Vic will guide us through how to light and pose a model in a studio situation.

30th Print Competitions. Black and White. General and portraits. Final.  Jubilee Cup colour prints, and tinted monochrome prints.   Final

 

May

 7th Portrait Evening. Led by Vic Seaton. We will put into practice the techniques learnt at Vic’s portrait lighting demonstration on the 23rd April.

 14th Cornwall Cup. Natural History competition. Projected image, slide and digital. Final.

 21st Evening outing, Badger Watch in the Daventry Area. Courtesy of Steve Jackson from Brockwatch, Northampton and South Northamptonshire Badger group.  Contact Paul or Dave for further details of time and location.

 28th Monopod (ecclesiastical) competition, in honour of Mrs Humfrey. Five pictures. Concluded by the presentation of the annual trophies.
